7.0.4 Update causes loss of Quicktime Pro for Final Cut User

Just downloaded QT 7.0.4 and have lost all QT Pro features and registration in the act. I'm a film director, on the road, and am not traveling with my FCP Studio program disks. Anyone with any clue on how to regain my PRO features in QT without buying Steve Jobs another turtleneck?

Deborah,
I did not lose my registration. I went from 7.0.3 up to 7.0.4 with a completely updated system. You may be able to downgrade or need to request a new key to enter in the QuickTime Player > Registration box. You're correct in reading the install document. This should not disable a 7.x install according to the update.

Good Luck

The too had the same problem, i downgraded to 7.0.1 using Apple's downgrader, then reinstalled 7.0.4 from the Software Updater and it still did the same thing. So I downgraded again and manually installed 7.0.3 from Apple's website. Things are working good so far. I haven't yet updated to 7.0.4 but I guess I could try it now that I know a way to get back to 7.0.3 if I need to
