Importing from Canon 60D

Yesterday I bought a Canon 60D (DSLR) to be used together with my old Canon HV30 (HDV).

I took some shots and imported them in FCE in a project (AIC 1440x1080i50). The clips from 60D are 1920x1080 were "accepted" but in the timeline they must be rendered (red line). The clips from the HV30 need no render.

I can't figure out what to do in order to use both cameras in the same project (Log & Transfer...?)

I'm sure you guys know...

No, I didn't find the answer after trying it.

First I ran the 60D-clip through MpegStreamClip and converted it to AIC.

Then, when I set up a sequence for HV30 (1440x1080), I have to render the 60D-clip on the time-line. And it takes time...

If I do it the other way around setting up a 1920x1080-sequence I have to render the HV30-clip.

It's so confusing...

Yes, I did as you suggested - and it worked :-)

I used a 1440x1080-sequence and loaded the HV-clips and the converted 60D-clips.

I had tried that earlier but then used "Export to other formats" in Streamclip as the preset say 1440x1080 (4:3) and I wanted 16:9. But it turned out it gave 16:9. Confusing...

Thanks for your help. I was so close to return the camera...
