What, no folders?

When burning back-up MP3 Cd's of my music collection on my old Mac Mini, I would find when using the CDs on my Sony Hi Fi that the folders representing the various albums would show up and could be browsed, making it easy to locate which album I wanted to play.

Now I have a brand new MacBook. Yes it burns CDs in the same way, but so far not one of the MP3 Cds burned with the MacBook has more than one folder when played on my hi fi. The display on the hi fi says there is only one folder and every track is in that folder. When I place the disk back into the MacBook, hey presto, the folders appear in iTunes.

I've searched through iTunes Prefs, but can't seem to find anything that would be causing this. Any suggestions?
