Migration Assistant/Address Book Notes Missing

I ran the migration assistant to copy data/files from my mom's old Mac Mini running Leopard to a newer Mac Mini running Snow Leopard. All her data copied fine, but her address book is missing its notes (which were lengthy and important).

When I booted up the old MacMini to try to find the data file for the original address book, that address book was suddenly EMPTY.

Now I don't know what to do. Suggestions are much appreciated.

Check the appropriate box in Address Book preferences, select (highlight) all your cards, export vCards (see the File menu) to your desktop, drag the file to a thumb drive or external hard drive, or send the vCards to your new computer attached to an email, and double click on the vCards file (or select "import vCards" from the File menu).
