If your question has nothing to do with an iPhone, you're in the wrong forum. You should post your question, with a properly descriptive subject line in the Using iTunes for Macs forums. Be sure you start your own thread rather than appending your question to someone else's. That's called thread jacking and is considered a breach of forum ettiquite.

Best of luck..

I'm really sorry to be on the wrong page. But it's always difficult here to find the button for posting a new question. My problem with iTunes is that since the latest update I am constantly being asked for my Apple ID and the password when opening the programm. Why's that? It's harrassing. I just want to listen to my CDs on iTunes, nothing more. Why the password thing? How can I stop it?

Well, I'm not talking about CDs or Music I bought from iTunes. I usually import my own audio books and those I get from the library. Why can't I load down my library CDs anymore to transfer them to my iPOD? Why does iTunes need to check my private things? Fortunately I've stll got an old Windows PC with the iTunes programme ( I deliberately didn't update that). So I import my CDs to iTunes on the PC and transfer them to my MacBook by USB. But that doesn't sound right to me. All that trouble and additional work.

I have a little different problem. When I launch iTunes, my processor goes to 100 %. I shut iTunes down and it goes back to a few %. What can I do to fix this? This just started while I was trying to update my iPhone and iPad to 5.1. My itunes is 10.6.1.7. my iPad is 4.2.1 and my iPhone is 4.3.3. I'm leaving the country in another day and I need to get this updated.

Thanks
