Can you transfer iTunes music to a webpage?

Like can you take a song and put it on a webpage? Is there like a special way or is it just not possible?

Do you mean tracks purchased from the iTunes Music Store? If that's what you mean, then no, you can't put them on a website and have them work. Tracks purchased from the iTMS (as is the case with all legal download music stores carrying major label content) are copy-protected and require that the computer be authorized before the track will play.

If you're referring to tracks you rip from a CD or other source, then they're just files, so they can be uploaded to a web site with any appropriate file-transfer application. Note that it's up to you to obtain any necessary licenses before you make any tracks available.

Yes, you can. And no special "insight" is required; just find the track in your iTunes Music folder and upload it to your web server as you would your web pages. Then link to the track as appropriately in your web pages.

Note of course that the people viewing your web site will need to have a player capable of playing the format your tracks are in. MP3 tracks are pretty universal, but AAC is a bit less common, so QuickTime will probably be required.

You need to find website that can host your file and then there is some HTML code that you can just put in the URL of your hosted file.

Use this:
</td></tr>

*Note: I am not endorsing hosting an illegal file. This music must be yours, or you must have the proper licenses to play the music. Otherwise it is illegal.

hope this helps,

Most sites you need to pay in order to get enough bandwith to keep up with your song playing each time someone visits your myspace page.
Once you find one of these, and upload your file to them you will usually be given a URL of where that file is located. Use that in the HTML I gave you.
That's the only way, myspace doesn't allow you to upload your own songs directly to their website.

Now, if it is a song you ripped from a cd, DO NOT post that on your website. Check the band's website on myspace, they might have a song you can put on your homepage (most of the well known artists do)

nope, iTunes cannot host your file.
I know geocities can host your file, although it needs to be under 15MB and if your myspace gets a lot of hits in a day then the song will stop playing for the rest of the month. (you only get 2GB/Month, which isn't a whole lot)

You will need to do more research for hosting files. After you upload your file you should receive a URL for that file you uploaded, put that into the HTML.
