My daughter accidentally deleted some photos from her digital camera and I am hoping to be able to recover them for her. After searching online I have come across PhotoRec from cgsecurity but am hesitant to downoad software from the internet. It's free so is it too good to be true?
I appreciate any feedback on this topic! Thx.
PhotoRec is extremely good and free, but it's not all that easy or friendly to use at all (someone should write a shell for it)
If you do decide to use it, I can verify it's a very well regarded and widespread used open source program (so others see the code and know it's safe), Windows, Linux and Mac versions.
If you want something that's much more Mac user friendly, can recover your files from a digital camera media card and willing to pay for the ease of use and a reliable, reputable company with phone in support, then DataRescue is your tool.
