The iphone id disabled? Because you forgot your passcode?
If so then restore:
Nope... I can use the iPhone, I know the passcode. I just want disable the 'passcode lock'.
thanks
Go to Settings, General, Passcode Lock and then type in your passcode and you should see the option to turn it off. 🙂
Do you have an exchange account with your employer on the iPhone? If so, they are pushing out an exchange security certificate that disables your ability to operate without a passcode in place. The only way to change that would be to delete the exchange account.
You we're right.
I deleted the exchange account, so I could turn passcode off.
Thanks.
Were you eventually able to put the exchange account back and keep the passcode off somehow?
That can only happen if the Exchange administrator changes the password requirements for accessing the Exchange server.
Thank you that has to be my problem as we just, upgrqded our exchange account. I never needed nor do I want a Passcode on my iPad, yet this am one was required and I can't get rid of it.
my iphone 4 is disable,
I am using Google Apps and set up my iPhone 4s Mail account following these instructions, http://support.google.com/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740. As instructed I used the Microsoft Exchange account. Later I set up a pass code and turned Pass Code lock ON. Mail works perfectly, however I am not given the choice to turn Pass Code lock Off. I do not believe Microsoft Exchange requires Psss Code Lock as I setup another user's iPhone 4s the same way but never activated Pass Code Lock. (On this phone I still have the option of setting up a Pass Code and turning it on.)
I would like to be able to turn off Pass Code Lock.
Hey thanks. I was looking for this too. I downloaded ios7 and put in passcode thinking it was for different reason. I do not want passcode to get into my on phone or iPad thanks again
I have iPhone 5c, my daughter set a password AND DOES NOT
