How to get rid of the number bubble for FaceTime in the dock?

I have FaceTime, downloaded from the Mac app store on my dock, and have used it a few times. It is currently showing a "1" in a red bubble. I assume that means a missed call?

But how do I get rid of the bubble? I went into FaceTime, viewed recent, viewed missed calls, but the bubble doesn't go away. I even tried clearing the entire history and restarting my iMac.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

doug

Drag the FT icon off the Dock. It will go "poof" ..

Then launch FT from your Applications folder.

Then click and hold down the new FT icon in the Dock, then click Options / Keep in Dock.

See if that makes a difference. If not, try the FaceTime for Mac support page. http://www.apple.com/support/mac/facetime/

To get rid of bubble on my FaceTime icon, I opened up FaceTime and down on the bottom look for the word "Recent" click on that and it will then show all of your recent calls on top of the page. Then you should see the word "clear" on top above the list, click on "clear" and the bubble and number of calls should go away. That's what worked for me.
