Is it possible to install iOS 4.3 on an iPhone 3G? The download recommendations concern only iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS. Does that mean I can't install it on my iPhone 3G?

The last version of iOS for the 3G is 4.2.1.
The 3G will not be getting any further updates per Apple.
that's terrible...there are application that i want and i can't download it because it support only iOS 4.3
That is how Apple makes there money. I dont see why Apple can't support it until iOS 5 comes out.
You might not be able to see why Apple can't support it but I am confident that they felt they had their reasons for doing that. There are generally some technical reasons behind where Apple draws the line and those on the other side always complain about it without ever making any difference.
