Hi, I'm not sure where or how you're trying to "save" these, is it for a default for composing new emails?

No easy/simple way to do it in Tiger's Mail, Leopard/10.5's Mail has Save as Stationary.

About the only half way reasonable way is to get a clipboard manager...

For instance, I used stuf, made text doc of just one space, select all, change to Bold & Blue, copied that to the stuf clipboard, then when starting a new email I can paste that Bold & blue blank space & it works,

You could also write a script to do it I guess, with a key combo to invoke it.
