I know I can modify a loop, but I would like to write sheet music and simply have it play back. Is there any way to do this in GarageBand? If not, does anyone know of an decent inexpensive package to do this? I am looking at Harmony, but I own GarageBand. I'd like to be able to do it in GarageBand if possible.

It's not the way I would have expected it to be: adding one measure at a time. But it works!

if you grab the bottom right edge of the region you can drag it to the right, and make it as long as you want, so you're not restricted to a single measure at a time.
