How To Remove Unwanted Synced Photos From iPhone!!?

So every time I sync my phone to my computer (which is rarely, only when I need to update the software) it adds ALL the photos from my computer to my iPhone (I have an iPhone 3gs) and then I can not get rid of them! I can't figure out how to, it doesn't let me delete them off the phone, and I can't find how to in iTunes. This is driving me absolutely crazy as I take the photos OFF of my phone to keep it 'neat' and keep the space free... I have no use for the photos, they just get added onto the phone automatically! They only take up space and make my phone freeze and stuff up if I want to send one... Can anyone please, pleeease tell me how to get rid of them off my phone so I can regain what is left of my sanity?? And how to prevent it from happening every other time I update my phone? It would be greatly appreciated!!!

You remove them the same way they got there...through the iTunes sync process. Under the Photos tab in iTunes, with your phone connected, remove the checks in all the boxes for the albums/folders/photos you do not want on your phone. Hit the apply/sync button & they will be removed.

Hey, thank you... So I did what you said and went into the photos and unchecked the whole 'Sync Photos From' (as when I go to manually uncheck all the albums, none are actually checked' and then it gives me the option of Removing Photos or Not Removing them, so I say Remove... then in the capacity bar at the bottom, the photos disappear and I go to sync it again and it asks if I'd like to apply the settings so I say yes, thinking hooray it's all worked out. But then I get a warning come up telling me it's going to delete all 89 of my apps including AC HD (not sure which that one is) and that it'll completely remove all my applications, so I have to cancel it and thus, the photos are still on there. I'm using Windows Vista if that makes any difference? I don't know WHAT I'm doing wrong and I'm sure I'm awfully annoying with my hopelessness and lack of brains... sorry...

Are these apps that are on your phone in your iTunes library? How did they get on your phone in the first place?

I didn't even realize they all backed up into my iTunes library thank you!!

They were ones I've downloaded using my phone, from the app store on there.

So if I sync my phone rid of the photos it won't matter if the apps get deleted because I'll be able to put them back on from my library yeah?

To make sure ALL of your purchased content is in your iTunes library, with your phone connected, without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases.

Done that now 🙂 Syncing "Mad Hatter" Step 4 of 4, Deleting Photos...

Delete unwanted image from the same folder and sync again...it will solve the problem..

Mmm tried it the way you explain...the bar shows me I have 784photos(camera roll+photo library) but it doesn`t seem to see all the other albums(3 others 500 odd photos)...none are deleted when I sync like you say and I cant delete them because they are synced from my PC...suggestions?
