Q: XP Drivers for Audiowerk 8

I am and have been an faithful Logic for a long time. ( My first copies of logic are on floppy disks.... and I still have them!!!) I recently found my old Audiowerk 8 Card and thought it would be cool to set up an XP system for my son using the card. Alias I cannot find the XP drivers for the card anywhere, other than horrid Torrent sites that want me to install their utility... or enter my cell number!!!! NOT!

Can someone here please link the driver for me.

Greatly apperciated.

Logic Studio, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

I can't help you with the driver, but be careful: the Audiowerk8 doesn't work in newer PCs which only provide 3.3 Volt of power to the PCI card. I think Apple canceled 5 Volt support with the 2nd generation PowerPC G5, which is many years ago. So, you might want to check (the card shouldn't fit mechanically, if it doesn't support 5V olt)

Great advice! I will be sure to check the PC before installing. The one I'm using at the moment is fine, the card fits and the hardware wizard finds it, it just wont work with the driver set on my CD??

Anyone else have PC drivers for the AudioWerk 8 card? Fits in the PCI slot, and XP recognizes the card but says theirs a driver issue and cannot open / use the card.

Yup, I"ve got the driver...  apple doesn't archive the driver anywhere anymore (probably because it's for pc) anyway, email me if you want and I'll send 'er over. (davefriendly@live.com). I've had my audiowerk 2 card since about 2001 and I've used this same driver with windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7 with no issues. The last time they updated the driver was 2003 but I've used the latest one on all platforms. I love this card - very efficient and way ahead of it's time. The driver version is 3.1.82.

Actually, to make it easy for you - I made a link for you: https://www.yousendit.com/download/M0RyeW53TXYzS3BFQlE9PQ

Just unrar everything into a folder on the desktop (including the rar inside the rar )  Then update the driver and point to that folder. You'll get the windows genuine software no pass warning but click continue anyway then your all set. This is the OEM driver. Let me know how it goes. The link above expires in 7 days from today.
