not able to boot computer, booting in safe mode and get error loading kernel 'mach_kernel. Have tried to repair with boot disk but unable to be repaired, is only option to erase and reload operating system?
Unfortunately DU can't fix all that much, your best bet is DiskWarrior, you need the CD/DVD though.
