Using Windows 7 on my MacBook pro. I turned the brightness all the way down, then forgot about it and restarted the computer. Now when I boot up the screen is black and I cant get the brightness back up because I cant see what I'm doing. The brightness key on the keyboard does not work. I know this sounds ridiculous and its very frustrating, because it should be an easy fix. Any suggestions?
How about if you hold down the fn key and try your keyboard F2

just install windows 7 x64 on boot camp..... cannot change screen brightness with function key....
This might sound daft......
Put your finger over the light sensor next to the iSight camera, the system should recognise the change of light intensity and auto adjust the brightness.

Dude, i had the same problem. Just take out your computers battery (sounds scary, but it's actually very easy.) I took out my battery and once you do that some things reset, which will bring your brightness back to normal. Look at a video on youtube on how to take out the battery if you're not sure how. Hope this helped!
