Connecting wireless keyboard
I use a wireless keyboard with my iMac. Can I connect this keyboard to the iPad?
iMac Intel 24", Mac OS X (10.6.6), iPad, MacBook Air, iPhone 4

If it's not the old model, yes. Easy enough to try.
It is the original iPad. Why is there a difference between the two in connecting a keyboard?
Sorry - I was referring to the old model keyboard.
Model A1314...
That's the newer one. Should be good to go.
Hi, what if it does not display at all when searching for the device in Bluetooth?
With my wireless keyboard:
1) on iPad: pull up Settings > General > Bluetooth
2) slide from Off to On (or On to Off, wait, then Off to On again)
3) on keyboard: hold down the power button on the side until the little green light flashes
4) release
5) on iPad: "Apple Wireless Keyboard" should pop up under "Devices"
6) if yes, tap "Not Connected" so it searches for a return signal from the keyboard
if no, try resetting/restarting your iPad (holding down the Home button and the Sleep button at the same time) and repeating instructions
7) on keyboard: send the iPad a return signal by pressing the Shift key
Let me know if this helps.
PS, make sure the batteries aren't dead.
Thanks for that, very helpful
