Downloading during sleep mode
Hey, is it possible to keep my utorrent downloading while sleep mode is on... Or maybe there's a command which turns off the screen and keeps the system working?
Thanks.

No, it's not possible to continue downloads while the machine is in sleep mode. You can however just sleep the displays and keep things running. To sleep the display press
Shift-Control-Eject
Puts all displays to sleep.
You could also define a hot corner to display sleep in System Preferences > Expose & Spaces > Expose tab.

you can just open a Terminal window and run caffeinate command.
for as long as you want keep it running and than end it using Clt+c.
As long as caffeinate is running it wont sleep even is display is off.
I think his question was different, if we were able to sleep the machine while something is being downloaded which is not possible but yeah as rightly explained before you do can turn your screen off while downloading something.
I think there may be an option to disable sleep if torrents are active within utorrent.
Thank you very much!

I think that works standard.
