Airprint activator for Windows
I have installed AirPrint Installer.exe on my Windows XP notebook and share the printer. Unfortunately my iPad 2 fails to search the printer. Can someone tell me how to diagnostic it. Thanks!

One possibility is that your WiFi router does not correctly handle Bonjour data that AirPrint requires. Apple's AirPort routers are known to work with AirPrint, but some others don't. If that is your problem, it may be possible to correct it by changing something in the WiFi router's setup or getting a firmware upgrade for it.
If the WiFi router is causing the problem, you may be able to troubleshoot it by turning off the WiFi router and setting the computer's WiFi to Ad Hoc network mode.

AirPrint Activator makes your shared printer look like an AirPrint printer to the iPad. It still requires the router to pass Bonjour data required for AirPrint.
I don't know about your Netgear, but a lot of people have had similar problems with various brand routers. If you can set up your computer's WiFi to Ad Hoc network mode, it should be a quick way to check.

Hi Fred,
Thanks for your advice. I forgot to mention that I have been using the AirPrint activator for Mac with my iMac correctly. I am unsure if it relates to my Netgear router. I tried it at work and at home and both failed. I trend to believe the issue falls into the software rather than the hardware.
