When I click on web pages for a pdf file, all I get is a black screen page. I see the download blue menu bar moving, showing that data is downloading to the Safari page, but all files are black. Any suggestions?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8), 2.8 Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB Memory 800 MHz
Quit Safari.
Open a Finder window. Select MacintoshHD in the Sidebar on the left. Open the Library folder then the Internet Plug-Ins folder.
Move this plugin to the Trash: PDF Browser Plug-in
Relaunch Safari.
Thanks. Did that but there is no PDF Browser Plug-In in that folder. However, on a hunch, I removed Adobe Reader from my system and Safari now does display pdf pages. So there must be a bug between the new Safari 5 and Adobe Reader.
