Macbook Pro was closed with the power cord connection (magnetized?) between screen and keypad. Now screen it totally messed up. Any ideas on what to do?

Describe 'totally messed up' are we talking physical damage?
no physical damage. The screen has what appears to be a dark ink blot and it has horizontal and vertical lines all over the screen.
Sadly that sounds exactly like physical damage, I believe the layers that make up the screen assembly may have crushed together to some amount, a trip to an Apple Store is your wisest course.
