Hi im running a Macbook v10.5.8. I tried to open iChat and it bounces once or twice and closes before a window opens. Also there is no specific icon for it. its just an A (made of a pen, a ruler, and a pencil). I dont have the installation disc becuase its a lended school computer. Is there a way to fix it with the disc?

Log in to a different user account and try launching iChat there. Does it work?
If not, you are going to need the sys admin to replace it for you.

Does the actual App have the proper icon in the Applications Folder ?
IF so does it launch from there ?
If it does drag the first icon of the DOCK then drag the App back to the DOCK to renew the icon and Link to the App.
