Hi..

I just bought a brand new 32GB 3G+WiFi iPad 2 yesterday.

 

Its running 4.3.2 .

 

Just one problem.

The calendar app crashes, as soon as I open it.

What can be the issue ?

    Not enough information for anyone to know why the calendar app is making your iPad crash.  Are you using the native Calendar built into your iPad?  The first thing to try is a reboot:  Hold the power and home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds (hold past the swipe to shut down if it appears) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will reboot.

     

    See if that solves your problem.......

    yes, the native calendar app only.

     

    And I just rebooted and updated to 4.3.3 , still the same issue

    I have paid huge for the device and I need this fixed.

     

    Why there is no support ticket system for the customers ?

    What you need to do is to try restoring your iPad and seeing if that works. Should do the trick. If not go to the Apple Store and have them replace your gadget. Do you know how to restore it? Sync it it first and back it up! Any questions on how to restore tell me.

    Hey it happens. You may have gotten a bad iPad who knows if problems persist I suggest going to your local apple store and replacing it. If you have Apple care even better.

    Ok, I can try doing a reset.

     

    One question :

    When I backup, does it backup my email accounts, setup, all the settings, photos, etc ?

    Yeah as long as you back it up and sync it it should be good. You will have to enter your wifi password again, but that is about it.

    Settings I dont really know, shouldn't be much though. I know apps and email etc. will come over, you should be fine.

    any luck?? i have the same problem, just bought an identical one today and can't open the calendar (and the home button has to be pressed REAL hard for it to work...)

    Same here, i only coule use the calendar after i excluded my work agenda, so i have only a few appointments, even after in settings go only one month back.. Application is still running as i can see if double press home button, but closes after opening, it is just a mem problem i guess. After clean reboot same

    Have the impression it is there since upgrade to ios5

    Everyone experiencing this problem needs to restore their device.

    However, when prompted to either "restore from backup" or "set up as new",

    you must choose "set up as new". Don't worry, you shouldn't lose anything if you've made

    sure to properly backup your device.

    My calendar was crashing on opening and I performed all the reboots and then did a restore from new, as above, and it solved my issue. I didnt lose anything except my wallpapers and app layout, which just took time to reset.  Thanks a lot.
