How do I connect my AIM or Apple ID to iChat if I've already connected it to Gmail?

It won't even let me log out of the Gmail account on iChat.

Open iChat, Preferences, Accounts, Add new account. Simple as that, now it will open each of your im clients in a seperate iChat window. If you google "chax for iChat" it is a free download and it will link all of your chat clients into one iChat window like Adium or Nimbuzz.

Note.

Using the Accounts option listed here and selecting any ticked account will log it out and remove the tick.

You need to choose the Account section

As I indicate with the blue info, you can also Log out here (whichever is the account highlighted)

From the Menu Bar icon (you need this On first in the General Section of the iChat Preferences)

There is a similar drop down if you click the Status Message item at the top of the Buddy List which also has an Off Line option.

Thanks for the points.

I regularly have several Buddy Lists open.

You don't have to log out of one to Open another (well in iChat 3 you might have to)

In iChat 3 you can have one Jabber ID open and one AIM one at one time.

IN this version if you wanted to use another AIM name for instance you would have to log the first one Out and then open the second. (the same for two Jabber IDs)
