I work for General Motors and they have training at gmtraining.com that I can take at home over the internet, I am unable to get the site to work; Ive changed browsers & sometimes it will work other times I cant get pages to load, or the site just freezes on one page and wont move to the next question etc. Ill get error messages that I dont have the right plugin then cant find the plugin. I get paid for these tests and it would be nice not hassling it. Help!

Hi Melanie,

I just typed http://gmtraining.com into my Safari web browser and it went right to this site: https://www.gmtraining.com/HomePage/LoginPage.asp. So, is that part working for you?

There is a notice there that says "The system is undergoing scheduled maintenance beginning 9:00 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2006 to 5:00 AM Wednesday, January 11, 2006 (EST).", so it is possible that that is the reason why you cannot do anything at the site at this time.

Hi Melanie,

Right now (4:50 pm PST on Thursday) I tried the site and am asked for a user id and password. So, the maintenance is not being done now. However, I of course cannot proceed further.

If you are able to log in but are having some problems, you might try a different browser. Some web sites do not work properly in all browsers.

If you still have problems, I suggest that you try to contact someone associated with the website who could help. At the minimum, I would expect that the site has a webmaster that you could email.

"Is it possible that only a PC can use the site?"

I don't really know the answer to that, but now that you pose the question, I am wondering if the site has some files for which require a plug-in or two. And if that is the case, it might be that files are really aimed at PC people. I am thinking in particular of video clips, which might be part of the training.

I think your contacting the webmaster is the best bet.
