Mac Mini Sever 256 Color Update Problem-

So, we have a Mac Mini Server 2009. We are running Snow Leopard, of course. We downloaded Fallout 1, but it required a 256 color update. We installed it and when we restarted the Mac Mini, it gave us an error and kept saying you need to restart (with that gray screen). Of course it has no disk drive so we could not restore it from the install disk. So, right now, I am running the Mac Mini Server off of an external harddrive. I don't know what to do, or how to remove this "256 Colour Update". Has anyone had this problem?! It is awful!
