    1.  This forum is for troubleshooting Apple Software Update for Windows, and not related in any way to your question.

    2.  How would we know if Apple hasn't announced anything even remotely similar?   In the past if you bought a Mac that had an earlier OS on it after the new OS was released, you would either get an upgrade disc in the box, or be eligible to purchase the new OS at a discount.
