I have a mac OS x version 10.6.7. Which firewire cable do I need to transfer my mini dv movies

no wait.. it depends on what model u have... do u have the new model?.. 2009 and later?is the 800.. on the 2008 and before.. is the 400

Open up a Internet window with your browser of choice and go to Apple Support. Click onto "Tech Specs".

Click onto "", click onto "About my computer", click onto "more information", mark your serial-number and copy it onto the field on Apple Support and hit Enter.

Your computer should now show. Click onto it and you will now see a specification on your MacBook Pro. Scroll down to the field that says "Firewire". Now you should know if it is Firewire 400 or Firewire 800.

there is no need to go to support page you just clik as he said ... then about my computer, more info... and then on the left menu hit firewire.. it ll tell you..., and a very easy way to know is .. if you have this
