Why do my adapters keep dying?

I don't even move them around. I got this one in August and it's already acting wonky. I can't afford to keep replacing them. Sometimes it will charge with the light on it, sometimes the light will be on but it isn't charging and sometimes the light isn't on and it it isn't charging at all.

Greetings,

Are they damaged in any way?

Could be an issue with the port on the computer.

Could be an issue with an improperly grounded outlet in the wall plug. Make sure you are using the 3-prong extension cable that came with the adapter and not the 2-prong travel adapter.

If you are buying Apple Branded AC Adapters they are covered by a 1 year hardware warranty (just like every Apple product you buy brand new from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller): http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/

Contact Apple for evaluation / replacement:

Make an appointment with a Mac Genius at an Apple store or contact AppleCare via phone.

Cheers.

Hello,

Do you mean the power adapters? If so, they are covered by warranty. You should not have to lay out money.

An other tip is to buy adapters from E-Bay. They cost from 20 US $ and up. They delivery time is from one week to four week. That can be could to have in store if your orginal power adapter fails. Searchword on E-bay "Apple MagSafe 60W". Scroll around until you find the one with your country socket.

My experience is that things from E-Bay works. Maybe not the "right" label but it works.

Please, come back with the development of your problem with adapters.
