preview iWeb-site differs from design.

When I visit the iWeb-site I'm working on in any browser (but Safari) it is displayed different than I want it to be displayed. Allignment of text-containers dissappaers, whole albums fade etc. This problem is the worst in Chrome (Chrome doesn't only cripple my site to something ugly, but makes it useless as well)

Is this a problem that will dissappear as soon as I publish it on a public server, (as I read somewhere on this forum) or can I better quit working in iWeb and learn a proffesional program? (because I want my website to be displayed correctly in at least 95% of the cases)
