Fixed that issue and I watched the entire season one of the walking dead with no problem but for som reason it will play season two episode one for a few minutes then I get a Netflix error telling me to try again later but can turn around and stream another movie with no problem

Dec 11, 2015 12:31 AM in response to dasamby AQ76,My ATV4 just today stopped streaming Netflix and Hulu. I can load the menus and choose what to watch but when the show starts the screen goes black but audio is working. I can hear the show and if I fast forward a little bit the picture turns back on for a moment but then goes black again. The channel logos in the corner of the screen for tv shows on Hulu are even still present but the picture is gone.
I can't figure out the problem for this. I tried resetting the ATV and my modem. I reinstalled the apps and I also tried both Ethernet and wifi but nothing helps. Anybody else have the same problem? All my other apps that are non video streaming work like games and some news streams like Reuters tv.

Dec 11, 2015 7:06 AM in response to AQ76by D.R.C.,I had the same problem last night with the Netflix app on my ATV2. Clicked on PLAY to start a show, and got black screen with audio.
I fast-forwarded a bit to see if that would kick-start the video stream, to no avail. Went back to the show's title listing, and clicking PLAY again. More black screen + audio. Suddenly, the circular spinner appeared. After several seconds, the ATV's home page appeared. I surmise that the Netflix app had crashed, and perhaps the 'springboard' too (or whatever the finder-like home screen manager is called). The ATV had not crashed - that takes much longer than several seconds to restart.
I launched Netflix again, and was then able to play the desired show, with video and audio.

Dec 11, 2015 9:44 AM in response to farkleradby AQ76,I sure hope it's on Netflix's end and not something to do with the ATV. I thought about exchanging my ATV this weekend if I can't solve the problem when I get home tonight. This is also happening to me on Hulu too.

Jan 21, 2016 1:25 PM in response to Aduki54by Sam Katz1,Only support-related threads are allowed here. For feedback, go to www.apple.com/feedback
No one has posted in this thread in quite some time.
My recommendation is that you go to www.apple.com/locate and find a mom and pop apple store that can give you some in-home support.
If it is happening with Hulu and Netflix (which tries to be friendly to lower speeds), it is your internet signal strength or speed.
You can try running a speed test from the settings menu to get some diagnostic info.
Even mine fails occasionally, sometimes I need to pull the power on the router. Make sure your apple tv is up to date, and the hardware is still supported.

Feb 27, 2016 9:34 AM in response to Sam Katz1by Bigftsign,TO fix all these problems, use your Airport Utility or access your non-Apple routers settings, and disable IPv6. Everything works great now after 6 months of tolerating constant issues with the Netflix app on my Apple TV
