Why doesn't the iPad mail app have spam filters?
I have been unable to figure out how to apply spam rules to the iPad mail app. Does anyone have a solution besides paying for a filtering website?

You would use the spam filer directly in the email application with your ISP. For example, if you use Yahoo Mail, on your computer log into your mail account and set the spam filters there. There really is no way to do this on iPad directly.
I don't know why you'd need to pay for a filtering website. I use Gmail. I get, maybe, one or two pieces of spam a month on my iPad. You can use Gmail to access other email accounts, even set it up so that when you reply, the recipient still sees the original, not Gmail, address.
I use Gmail and CoxMail and both have spam filters which move the spam to a separate folder, but ALL of the spam still comes through to my iPad2. How do you get I get rid of the spam coming to my iPad?
I Am having same problem with RCN email. Even though I set their junk filter to high, I get all this spam on my iPad.
