how can I make my macbook my main computer for my iphone 4?

Hi, my iphone4 was originally started up on my old PC and therefore the PC is the chief administrator (or something like that). I'm ditching the PC and going back to mac with a macbook I bought recently. Can anyone suggest a way that I can make my new macbook the head honcho instead of the old PC and administer my iphone with the mac. Thanks in advance

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8), intel core 2 duo 2GB 800mhz

Plug it in and sync it.

Copy everything from the old computer to the new one first, as syncing the iphone to a blank computer will erase it and replace with content from the new computer.
