Yes. Which accent mark are you talking about å é, è, ü, ö, ø? Less common ones depend on some fonts.
Spanish accent marks that are like the first "e" that you marked above and the mark that goes over the "n"...no idea what its called!!!
When you need to type the é, type Option-e then the e key.
To type the ñ, type Option-n then the n key.

For your information: this is not only valid in FCP's text generator, but in all text input on your mac. (Textedit, Mail, Word, Pages, etc)

Couldn't find è.
Here, I get "è" by holding "e" and pressing 1. If I try this on FCPX I get "eeeeeeeeeee"
If I want "í" on final cut I press "option-e" then "i"
Your solution worked though thanks, but I would be easier to be able to hold the letter the user wants to add an accent to.
