How can i find my IMEI number on my Ipad 16 gb wifi offline or with just the serial number online ? Thanks in advance.

    I don't know if it's the same for your iPad or not, as mine's a 3G model.

    But....on mine....its:

    Settings --> General -->

    I see the IMEI number down the list on the right....it's the third one from the bottom.

    I'm not sure that wifi only models have IMEI numbers (?). I thought it was just the 3G versions.

    i understand i can easily get the IMEI number easily on 3g offline if i go into itunes but cannot find it on mine due to it being just a wifi Ipad ? My Ipad is stolen and am trying to get the IMEI number to help me find my ipad because i believe one of my colleagues is having it.

    This article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4061 explains how to find the IMEI - it only says that it is available on 3G models, not wifi-only iPads

    A wifi only device does not have an IMEI number - it has no use for one and without a cellular radio, I don't think the regulatory agencies will even allow it to be assigned one.

    if your device is stolen, unless you had something like Apple's free find-my-iPad setup before it was stolen, you are not going to be able to track it remotely.  And even a 3G iPad cannot be tracked by IMEI number without the cell carriers cooperation which will require a court order to get.

    The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number wouldn't make any sense in a Wi-Fi only iPad.

    What could possibly help you is the MAC address of your iPad's Wi-Fi interface, but then you'd need direct access to the Wi-Fi router to which your iPad is connected to, in which case you would have virtually found your stolen iPad.

    Anyway, if you don't know the MAC address now, you cannot find out if you don't have access to your iPad.

    MAC addresses for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are unique for each device and hard-wired.

    Mike was almost 100% correct.

    Goto Settings, but then ABOUT, then IMEI is down near the bottom on the right hand side.

    We are all fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to Apple nor iTunes Support - I've asked the hoststo remove your email address and phone numbers from your post (it's not a good idea to post persoal info)

    The only way to try and find your phone is via http://icloud.com on a computer or Find My iPhone on another device - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or Find My iPad disabled on it.

    If you think that it was stolen then you should report it to the police. You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc. and contact your carrier.

    Do you have a backup of your phone on your computer's iTunes ? If you do then go into Edit > Preferences on it, and on the Devices tab hover you mouse pointer over the backup : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4061
