How do I open multiple pages on Safari?

go to file - new tab at the top or go to view- customize toolbar and drag the new tab icon to the toolbar to have easier access to it.

You can open up new tabs in the same window by pressing CMD T

If you want to open up a new window than press CMD N

Additionally, if you want to open a link on the current page in a new tab (or window) where it doesn't do so automatically, then right-click the link (or ctrl-click if using a one-button mouse) and pick "Open Link in New Window" or "Open Link in New Tab" from the contextual menu that appears.

Finally, there are even more shortcut options you can set in Safari's "Tabs" preference item.

His question is how to open up *multiple* new windows.

Not single windows or tabs.

Not multiple tabs.

I've been wondering this forever myself.

Put the URLs bookmarks in a folder and set that folder to open all of the URLs is tabs.

Put the folder in the toolbar so it's readily available. Those folders that will open in tabs automatically will have a small square beside it.
