G3 Mac 10.4.11 iTunes v8.2.1 cannot access iTunes Store any longer.

You can run iTunes 9.2.1 that is what you need for the iTunes store. i have 2 g3's (B&W) both 450mhz one a g3 450MHZ and #2 A 450MHZ G4 upgraded G3. as long as you have 512MB ram it should work. iTunes 9 says it needs a g4 but a 400+mhz g3 will work. any thing lower i do not know😕 but give it a try😉 you can alwas go back to iTunes V8.2.1🙂

Unless you know a trick I don't, iTunes 9.2.1 won't run on a system with a G3 processor. It may install - though the installer may refuse; it's been a long time since I had a G3 to test - but it won't launch. If you've found a way to get it going in a G3 system (not a system with a G4 processor upgrade) please provide details as to how you went about it.

That is iTunes 9 on my 450MHZ (B&W) G3 (And Not The G4-G3)and you know it is iTunes 9 Because it has the new iTunes visualizer Playing🙂 i download it and installed it and it runes fine and can go to the iTunes store!🙂

I'd like to see a screenshot of the "About iTunes" screen showing the exact version and build of iTunes, please.

I will try to get to it next week this is a old screenshot my g3 just had a new hd and clean install of os x and is packed away. i will reput itunes 9 in it and take a screen shot of it🙂

I found a photo if it in my sent e-mail file in gmail as well as playing a raceing game on my g3. it is very poor quality photo i will get a better one mayby next week🙂

Can't read the version and build number in that screen shot, so if you can post another one that can be read, that would be helpful.

ok!🙂 i will try to get to it next week it is packed away right now in my attic and i just did a clean install on a new 60GB hard drive in it. because the old hd is dead. i lost all my data on it😟 except for the very little data on the 2 hd in it🙂 so next week i will try to get around to it and put iTunes 9 in it and take a good screen shot!🙂

All I can read is "iTunes 9", not the specific version and build number.

iTunes 9 may only work on a Power Macintosh G3 (Blue and White)

it may not work on a older mini-tower G3😟 i thought you had a Power Macintosh G3 (Blue and White) sorry about that.
