iMac 21.5'' late 2009 -- audio thru hdmi?

Hi all!

Some sources say only 27'' models (not 21,5'') of late 2009 iMacs support audio transmission thru hdmi, yet some other state both 21,5 and 27'' support it. Are there any of you guys who are getting both audio and video from your 2009 21,5'' iMacs on your HDTVs (using, for example, Moshi adapter)?

Thanks!

iMac, Windows 7

I can confirm that audio out through HDMI works fine from the late 2009 21.5" model, if you have the right adapter. Works both in OS X and Windows 7 (64-bit in my case) under Boot Camp.

I have the Kanex iAdapt MDPHDMIV2 connected via 15 feet of cable to a Sony EX530 HD TV. The Sony TV appears as a separate display. To watch an HD movie, I move iTunes over to the Sony TV, maximize the window, and select the TV for sound output in System Preferences->Sound.

Update: my Kanex adapter was cheaper (at Amazon) than the one you've linked. And it needs only a single HDMI cable for both audio and video.
