How to make safari keep website passwords

I need to make Safari keep/retain passwords to sites I visit all the time. Despite checking "Remember me?" or "Always log in," I keep having to re-enter passwords everytime I visit these sites.

Over and over again. It gets old.

Can somebody please help me? What steps do I need to take to make Safari retain passwords to these sites?

Cmd + , (pressing cmd and , keys together ⌘,) is a shortcut to Preferences.

If you clicked “Never for this Website” the last time you logged in to this webpage, remove the “never saved” designation.

Choose Safari > Preferences and click AutoFill.

Click the Edit button next to “User names and passwords.”

In the list of user names, find the website for which you want to save a password. The words “Passwords Never Saved” appear next to the website.

Select the website and click Remove.

Click Done.
