Latest version of logic studio, omnisphere, OSX, and 6 meg ram. The notes freeze when playing any softsynth. every session! Any ideas? More ram? different keyboard controller? I am grasping at straws. I cannot even get through one session.

What do you use for an audio interface/card?
What do you have the I/O buffer set at?
Besides the softsynth, what effects are you using.

if you have 6meg RAM, you definetely need more. It is a miracle you can run OS X at all 🙂
Just to correct, I believe, your typo. 6GB of RAM I guess it should be.
Thanks all, My interface is apogee duet. very nice for small format. I use my mackie onyx 1620/firewire sometimes.I figured out the problem. No one would guess this. I stupidly plugged my usb keyboard controller into my usb hub. Moved to my computer and viola... all is good . Especially omnisphere ! XILS3 is also very interesting if you like synthi sort of stuff (Dark side of the moon).
I have a macpro 8 core 6meg ram latest version of logic and latest version of omnisphere and latest os. The soft synths (any kind) notes freeze while playing. This happens on every session! any ideas?
