I'm assuming you mean the screen went black? Try holding the power button and the home button for 10 seconds, maybe more if necessary. Works everytime for me. 🙂 Hope this helps. If not, take it into an Apple store... That being said, if it's an iPod with a jb version of iOS, they won't doing anything about it. Jb, destoys the waranty on it. :\

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I need help! =( Today i was playing with my video ipod that was given to me by my friend. Long story short i was deleting stuff off of it so i had more room on it and i got into something i have no idea what it was and i just chose to delete it it prompt me about something and i ignored it because i didnt understand what it meant. Next thing i know i cant open anything or do anything on my ipod, So i restart it thinking that will fix it but now i cant get it to turn back on it glows and the apple comes up for a few seconds than bam turns right back off and does it all over again... my ipod is just spazzing now and idk how to get it to stop or fix it. its repeating that over and over =/ i tried everything people have posted about there problem but im afraid i deleted like some scripts or programing code that makes the whole thing work... Please someone help me this ipod was like my life line i dont have a phone or anything so i can contact friend family or anything right now. =/
