How to use scanner on Macbook Pro with Cannon Image class MF4412

I've recently purchased a new Canon imageCLASS MF4412 and cannot scan while connected to the USB port of the time capsule. I can print from Mac and the copy on Cannon Image Class MF4412 are working perfectly fine when connected directly to the mac.

Anyone knows the step how to use scan on Mac connected to MF 4412? thanks.
