Failure Code: 4HDD/11/40000000: SATA(0,0)

Hi community,

I have a Mac mini, Model late 2009 and bought it from an authorized Mac Dealer with a 500 GB hard disk drive.

I ran yesterday the extended Hardware diagnostics from the DVD and now I have the following error:

Failure Code: 4HDD/11/40000000: SATA(0,0)

It seems to be an EFI problem with the jumper settings from the HD SATA settings, which it did NOT have before...

Unfortunately, I only found with google a way to alter the jumper settings, but before doing that, I would like to know, if anyone had the same problem and found a software solution for it.

Greetings from Cologne,

weird thing is, that my mac mini behaves totally fine, boots perfectly and fast, hard drive doesn't make funny noises, Safari doesn't freeze and the error just popped up after running AHT...... before, I didn't have the error.....

So to be hones, I don't know/ think, this is really a HW issue (in comparison to the other threads in the forum with the same error message).
