I pre ordered a book on ibooks but do not want it. How do I cancel it?

I am on a computer and went to iBooks on a browser.

I do not see "Store" when I open iBOOKS on my phone. Where do I find the pre-orders to cancel one that was ordered by accident?

I only see "My Books", "Featured", "Top Charts", "Search", "Purchased" (which does not include pre-orders) at the bottom of the application...there is no menu.

Open iBooks

Select Store

Select Purchases

You can then select to cancel your preorder.

I preordered a book on iBooks. I began getting notices that it was ready for download, but the same notice then said the price had gone up and did I still want it. I go to iBooks/Store/Purchases and it shows absolutely nothing there for me to cancel. I keep saying no, I don't want it, and every single time I log on with Apple ID to update apps for do something else, it starts by asking me if I want things dang book that they jacked the price up on it!

Please help me stop the madness. 😟

I have the new IOS 6 and before with the IOS 5, you could do that, go in and cancel. With iOS 6 it doesn't give that option!! WHAT DO I DO TO CANCEL AN ORDER???

What you do is go onto itune on ur account and and u goo to your account information and u go to the bottom and it says manage pre-order

Cindy this does not work. No such animal. All you get is music in iTunes new.

Can someone tell me how to cancel a book. I have looked everywhere. Yes it used to be simple,just click cancel but no more. I know it must seem really juvenile and stupid. There is no where to d this I can find.

iOS6 - there is no "purchases" button. There is a "purchased" button, but clicking on the book in question offers no means to cancel the order.

Cindy was correct. In order to cancel pre-order books you must go onto your computer, click manage account where you will be directed to enter your password. Then when you get to the page scroll to the bottom and under settings there is a pre-orders line. It tells you how many you have currently and has a link you can click that says manage pre-orders. This takes you to a new page and you can just hit cancel. But you must do it from the computer, it is not an option on the iPhone or iPad.

Thanx a billion, your info just saved myself from buying two different copies of the same book in iBooks.

I tried this and logged in, but the only settings section is under privacy and does not include pre-orders. Any other ideas? I am on a computer and went to iBooks on a browser.
