Q: fiber switches

Will a Brocade Silkworm 2400 fiber switch work with xsan? Thanks

xsan 2.2, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

    The 2400 has never been listed as compatible by Apple, but even if it was, it's only a 1Gb switch, so your end result would be a pretty slow Xsan. If you can grab a used Qlogic 5200 or 5600, you'll double and quadruple your throughput, respectively, and have an easy-to-manage switch that works really well with Xsan.
