am trying to install lightroom 3 from a CD onto mac book. I am new to mac. The file extensions for installation have .exe Does this have anythingto do with why i cant install. hope somebody can help me get it installed.

Hi i tried to download and install the RL 3 but when i click the Lightroom 3.pkg it goes to terminal and the screen display pls see below....

.exe is for Windows. Are you sure you have Lightroom for Mac? You probably have the wrong CD.
Don't bother with the CD, just download from Adobe and install that: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.4.1
Sounds like you have an error in the Lightroom package. I'd redownload it and try again. Also, what version of Mac OS X are you using? What MacBook Pro? That will help diagnose the issue.
