Hi there - I just try to transfer 43 images and 1 movie from my iPhone 4 into iPhoto. It takes about 5 min. per photo. I had this issue some times with earlier versions but could never find out what caused it. Any idea or similar experiences?

The most likely cause is a slow USB connection. Try a different USB port; don't use a hub; try a different cable.
Try a different usb port -- and avoid a hub if you are using one. Also, try restarting your computer.
Thx for the answer: I don’t think thats the issue here. The same cable and dock - connected directly to the iMac - work fine with iTunes and for the photos with PhoneView. Never have any problems with sync over this cable.

Have same problem before. It's nothing about cable or port or whatever. I believe it is because the file size.
I tried creating a new iPhoto Library (2) to distinguish with the old archive with 20k+ photos. It works for me this way. Best of luck.
