IPAD 2 Malfunction...

A few hours back my IPAD2 was working fine, then suddently it got hanged and after that i tried to switched on and off and nothing worked. However, then i clicked ON/OFF switch for a long time (may be 10 seconds) then i saw the apple logo on the screen (seems something is working). After 30 minutes, screen came back to its original.

I bought this IPAD2 3 days back, if this sort of malfunction occurs, then whats the use of buying such a costly item.

Apple customer care kindly look into the matter.
