Here's what happened, yesterday i created a Apple ID account and for it i used a virtual credit card number, that's is useful a day after. Now i wanted to buy an app from the mac store and i don't know how to change the credit card number for a new one.

Can you help me?

Click on this URL, then click on "Manage My Account" to the credit card section.

The only options that appear are these, and none of them have the credit card number option.

You change it in iTunes. Click 'Account' in the right sidebar, log in and you will see an option to edit this.

Incidentally, in view of the number of complaints from people who have found themselves saddled with purchases they didn't make, I would recommend removing the card number in between purchases. I know it's a pain to have to re-enter it when you want to buy something, but not half as much as having to deal with an unauthorised use of it.

    Roger,

What you have there doesn't appear in everyone's sidebar.

Answer = Itunes- Store menu/Manage My Account

my dad was using my computer for awhile and i had never purchased anything on it. it shows HIS card # and i want to change it to MY c ard # since it is MY account and MY laptop i got as a gift from my boyfriend. my dad has NO ties with this laptop except he put HID information under MY itunes account. so in order for me to change the card settings i have gone to account and clicked edit under the card settings. i tried putting in my card #, expiration date and the security code 1000 times and it tells me that my security code is not valid, WHICH IT IS BC IM LOOKING AT IT RIGHT NOW AND ENTERED IT SO MANY TIMES. i am so confused and frustrated. someone please tell me how i can officially delete the card # and put in MY OWN card # so that i may make purchases.

Try setting the payment method to 'None', clicking 'Done' and logging out. Close iTunes. Then run it again, go to the same page and try entring your credit card.

If you are using an apple device like iPad, iPod or iPad...please go to Settings and then to iTunes and Apple Store, you will see on the right side your apple id at the top. Please click on that and you will get a pop up box, on which you click on View my Apple Id and then on the next screen, you can see the Payment option button, where you can go and change the credit card type to None.

    Hope this helps you all.

why is this so f-ing complicated,  I should be able to change the CC info WITHOUT using the POS that is iTunes.  And why do i need to login EVERYTIME I CHANGE THE PAGE FOR ACCOUNT SETTINGS - apple can seriously S the D because when Steve Jobs passed, the company went with him - Android is light years ahead of IOS and the iPhuck.  Before you bash me, try Android for 10 minutes and you'll see.

The card is used in iTunes, where else would you expect to change it?

It's a security measure in your own interests - how easy do you want to make it for someone else to get in and cause you problems (and money)?

Very possibly, so why aren't you using it? (Rhetorical question, no need to answer it.)
