Why can't I log into genius?

Same here! I've been trying to turn Genius on both my Mac and my iPad. What gives? I've tried everything I can think off - logging out and back in, restarting, etc. Please please PLEASE somebody help. It's driving me nuts.
I am having the same issue. What is the deal? Loging into the iTunes store first did not work. Removing the cookies from the username library did not work. Removing cookies fro Firefox and Safari did not work. I am at a loss as well. Anybodu have a clue?

I found an answer that worked for me. I am using an iMac.
(1) Sign out of the iTunes store
(2) Open a NEW account with a new Apple ID
(3) Go through the sign up process and then go to the ACCOUNT INFORMATION page
(4) Go to RECOMENDATIONS & PING POSTING
(5) Turn on Genius there
Once the Genius updates, you can sign out and then sign in under your original Apple ID or the e-mail address you use for the iTunes store. All my store credit was there and now Genius worked.
Rather odd but I actually like the Genius at times except when it can't deal with some of my lesser known bands that I listen to.
I hope this helps somebody because I did many searches on the net with no success with what was suggested.

Seems stupid to re-enter all ones info but it did the trick. As I said, I tried all the other afore mentioned ideas with no sucess thus I tried the simple, makes no sense approach and it works!! Tell your friends đ
This is the error message I receive. Is it the same as the one you all are getting?
"Your request is temporarily unable to be processed." My verification "hangs," in fact it's still going around and around . . . which means I can't even verify my new user information.

I don't think you need to open a new account for this to work. I just did it from my current account and it's working so far.
Updates probably fixed this bug. If not, I did what I explained above and have had no issues. It is a pain but does the trick.
I've tried everything, including the solution above that seemed to work for some people. Nothing fixes it. Any other ideas? Anyone else having this problem?
I click Turn On Genius and all I get is a message that says "Could not complete the iTunes Store request. The store may be busy. Check your Internet connection or try again later."
Clearing cache, uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes, deleting the iTunes library, nothing works. Please help!
I'm having the same issue as you. I created a new account and can't acess genius with either account. I'm getting the same message as you. Called apple care, they couldn't help and kindly "disconnected" the phone call!
Looks like it's working now for me, I think they were making some changes to the iTunes Store and had to temporarily disable new Genius signups. Try it now and let us know if it works for you.
